Nike Air Force One Slam Jam
nike is one of the most innovative companies in the world, but they never forget their past. that idea is made clear with the release of these terminator vintage models. they are currently available in four simple colorways, including granite/dark obsidian (georgetown university) nike shoes , light bone/brickhouse (st. john’s university), swan/noble green, and solar flare/obsidian. as with all vintage sneaker releases from nike, they come with a used “vintage” look fresh out of the box. the vintage look includes a faint yellow midsole, distressed laces and a mesh tongue. these classics aim to please the old school heads, but i’m sure new school fans will lace them up, too. nike has once again come out with several sneaker models inspired by valentine’s day. in the past we have seen hearts, cupids and arrows, this year nike decided to keep it clean with this air force 1 premium for the ladies. they feature an appropriately themed red and white colorway with nice textured panels. the nike shoes design is festive enough to represent valentine’s day and subtle enough to be worn all year long. nike presents is first collaborative effort with italian streetwear/sneaker retailer slamjam. the “optical force” air force 1 pack is clean and subtle, but still delivers quality and innovation. the upper is constructed of crinkled patent leather. this turns our previous thoughts of patent leather always being smooth upside down. and it looks proper. plus, the vibrant patent leather colors in the pack contrast the white soles and premium white leather swoosh nicely. they finished off the sneaker with an embossed “slamjam” logo on the heel tab. a nice touch for a classy and well-done collaboration.
